Remarks

The Storebro Royal Cruiser 430 Baltic was the facelifted version of the successful SRC 420 Baltic.

Exterior
Analogous to the SRC 430 Biscay which was presented in 1997 the bathing-platform was slightly stretched and the vent covers for the engine room were integrated into the hull. Furthermore, the white aft panels at the railing were removed and replaced by a complete acrylic glazing. The above measures were already known by the SRC 420 Baltic MKII. The previously silver held side trim was replaced by a nearly black trim. This feature can also be found at the late versions of the SRC 380 Biscay and SRC 395 Biscay.
The rear windows of the aft cabin were treated very differently. Due to the problem that the staircase to the bathing platform now led directly in front of the window, the left window was omitted for some ships, and for others, both aft windows were omitted.
A list of changes compared to the SBC 420 Baltic can be found for the model year 1998 under Technical development.

Interior
Officially, the 430 Baltic was offered with the layout of 420 Baltic from the first years of production. In this layout, the pantry was standard U-shaped. Another change in the interior design concerned the design of the cabinet doors. From the third boat (s/n 3818) shutters were used instead of the cassette doors. This affected the guest cabin in the bow and the pantry. The bed in the owner's cabin graced a padded headboard already introduced in the SRC 420 Baltic MKII.
For the ships that were built at the start of production, the stocks in the old design and layout were still built in. Construction numbers 3816 and 3817 were delivered with an L-shaped pantry and cassette-style doors.

Engines
The Volvo Penta TAMD 73P-A with 413 hp was offered for the SRC 430 Baltic at the beginning of production in 1998. After the shipyard changed to other engine products from the middle of 1998, the Scania DSI9 47M with 450 hp was also offered for the SRC 430 Baltic. With the appearance of the successor, the Scania DI9 59M with 483 hp, this engine was offered as standard engine. Only a Finnish customer got his ship with the then new Volvo Penta TAMD 74P-A and 480 hp.

Miscellaneous
A special model was built for the then shipyard boss Anders Bejting (No. 3820). He got his ship with Scania DI12 engines. In this boat and the boat of then owner of the shipyard Hans Mellström the yard used computers with Windows(r)-NT-systems to display the engine-data on two screens (see Owner's Magazine 1999, p. 8). The system was designed by Anders Bejting and manufactured by DMP Holland. The name of the system was CAPS (Computer Assisted Piloting System). When Hans Mellström sold his boat, the buyer wanted to have the boat as original, so all extra electronic was removed and replaced by standard analogue instruments. The buyer also removed the green leather interior as he has learned that the colour green means bad luck to the boat. In addition the ship of Anders Bejting was provided with extensive leather interior, Recaro driver seat, a stretched bathing-platform, electric winches on the aft deck etc.
