Hull colors
Originally, the hulls of Örnmaskiner respectivly Storebro were clear varnished. In the early 60s the fad to paint colored hulls came from the U.S.. Storebro picked up this trend and so some boats like the
Bergö or
Havsörnen I have been delivered with light blue hull. Other customer requests such as petrol-colored hulls were also fulfilled. Initially, the skepticism of market experts was great. For a fair in Stockholm, the representative specially ordered ships with natural colored hulls. Nevertheless, it was decided at Storebro to present a Svanö with black hull. The following wrath of the representative was tempered by the fact that the Svanö was the first sold Storebro of this fair.
Later hulls were mostly provided in white color with black underwater hull and blue trim. This color scheme was introduced with the Storö III. Over time, some modifications were made. Those I know, I have listed below.
