Einar Runius was a well-known Swedish yacht designer. Together with C.G. Petterson he ran the "Motorbåtbyrån" from 1923 in Stockholm, Kungsgatan 9-11. Runius was famous not only for his hull designs but also for his many propeller calculations.

Ivar Gustafsson, then owner of Örnmaskiner AB, turned to Runius when it was time to build his own boat designs and no longer produce commissioned designs for Elektrolux.

The first very popular designs for Strorebro were the Vindö and the Sea Chaser I (Solö Ruff), which together were built around 3900 times in all variants.

Runius designed the boats Sea Chaser I (Solö Ruff), Vindö, Britt Mari, Örnö, Svanö/Express Cruiser (Bergö), Sea Chaser II (Solö Cabin) as well as the hulls of the Royal Cruiser I (Solö Lyx) and Royal Cruiser IV/34 for Storebro.
