Einar Runius was a famous swedish yacht-designer. Together with his partner C.G. Petterson he founded the "Motorbåtbyrån" in 1923 in Stockholm, Kungsgatan 9-11. Besides his hull-designs Runius was very well known for the large numbers of propeller-calculations.

Ivar Gustafsson, owner of Storebro Bruk, contacted Runius when he planed to build his own boats and no longer the Electrolux-boats.

The first two pupular desigs for Strorebro were the Vindö and the Solö Ruff. Totally 3900 boats were built of both types.

Runius designed the following boats for Storebro: Solö Ruff, Vindö, Britt Marie, Örnö, Svanö/Bergö, Solö Cabin and the hulls of Solö Lyx and Storö IV/34
